Ken Mays has served as a criminal investigator for the District Attorney's office since 1996. In addition to general investigation work, Mr. Mays handles domestic violence investigations. This work includes interviewing witnesses, documenting injuries, executing search warrants, and assisting with the obtaining of criminal warrants and protection from abuse orders. Mr. Mays is also a certified polygraph examiner.
Prior to his work with our office, Mr. Mays served 26 years with the Alabama Department of Public Safety as a Lieutenant with the Alabama Bureau of Investigation. He also served one-term as Mayor of the City of Hamilton following his retirement from the Department of Public Safety.
Mr. Mays is a graduate of Hamilton High School. Following high school, he completed the Alabama State Trooper College Cadet Program. He is also a graduate of the Argenbright School of Polygraph.
